This little cooker is incredibly convenient! I started by making a fried egg for an English muffin, and it was quick and simple. However, I’m not sure if it can accommodate two eggs, as that might cause overflow, especially with large or extra-large ones.
Next, I experimented with a variation of the potato pancake recipe from the provided recipe book. I used one medium russet potato, shredded, one small diced onion, one egg, a spoonful of breadcrumbs (since I was out of flour), and added salt, pepper, and chili powder. After mixing it all together, I cooked it in the cooker, and it turned out fantastic! It browned nicely on both sides and cooked in just a few minutes. The non-stick surface really works; I only need to wipe it with oil when cleaning.
I also verified that it only uses 350 watts, which means it can be run off a battery pack (like a Jackery or EcoFlow) or even a power inverter in a car or RV. Just keep in mind that it does get quite hot, so it’s best to use it on a surface that won’t easily burn, like a countertop or tray.

I received my first Dash cooker and, unfortunately, it arrived damaged with two small nicks on the top plate. I was really looking forward to using it, so I contacted Amazon, and they promptly sent me a replacement at no cost, which arrived the very next day. Huge shoutout to Amazon for their quick response!
The second cooker came in perfect condition. I decided to make some “onion rings” first. I placed a bit of mozzarella on the bottom plate, added onions, and topped it off with more mozzarella. I did have to flip them once to cook the top, but the cheese melted down to the bottom, leaving the top mostly just the exposed onions. Despite that, they turned out tasty and crunchy.
I believe the Dash cooks from both the top and bottom plates. The next day, I placed a golf ball-sized ball of pork sausage inside, pressed the top and bottom plates together to flatten it, and it cooked evenly on both sides without needing to flip! One improvement I’d suggest for Dash is to add a clip to secure the top and bottom plates tightly together so that everything cooks evenly without needing to flip. The sausage was a bit tall for the top plate to stay down completely, so I placed a small cast iron pan on top, which helped keep the pressure on the sausage. This proved that the top plate does indeed cook if there’s enough contact.
Cooking an egg was a breeze too! The top plate cooked the egg white perfectly while leaving the yolk just the way I like it. If you prefer a hard yolk, just let it cook a bit longer.
Cleaning the Dash was easy as well. There was some grease from the sausage, but not enough to spill over the bottom plate. I wiped up the grease with a paper towel before cleaning, using just a damp cloth without soap. After drying, I slipped the little piece of paper that came between the plates back in before storing it (make sure it’s cooled down first).
Overall, I love my Dash cooker and plan to use it frequently!
