I would happily pay more for a slightly larger version that accommodates bigger American eggs and cooks them consistently. This current model is hit or miss when it comes to getting the eggs just right. The instructions seem to be in a foreign language, so we’re relying on trial and error.
While it claims to be stainless steel, it’s primarily made of aluminum and plastic. Cleaning the bottom is a hassle since the plastic part can’t get wet, but the top gets messy from boiling water. Overall, it feels more like a novelty item than a reliable kitchen tool, and I doubt it will last more than a year.
Initially, I appreciated its small size, but now I wish it were an inch or two bigger to keep the eggs securely in place without touching the sides.
