I’ve tried several egg cookers over the years, and this one performs the best by far. Plus, its design is attractive enough to keep it on the counter when not in use.
It features two settings: one that sounds a continuous alarm when the eggs are done until you turn it off, and another that keeps them warm. I prefer to take my eggs out immediately and plunge them into ice water for easier peeling, and this cooker delivered perfectly cooked eggs every time.
While I haven’t used the poaching or omelette trays and probably won’t, I tend to stick with hard-boiled eggs. I do think the “omelette” tray is quite small; it wouldn’t accommodate a three-egg omelette.
Overall, this is a well-made egg cooker and offers great value for the price.

However, there is one major issue: when it finishes cooking, it starts beeping—not just once or twice, but with a continuous, piercing alarm that seems to go on forever. It only pauses for about two seconds before resuming. This is baffling since the whole point of having an automatic egg cooker is to avoid standing by and waiting for it to finish. If I’m on a work call in my room, I have to endure the faint beeping in the background, and if I’m outside and miss the alert, one of my housemates has to come and turn it off. While there is a “warm” setting that may allow you to cook without the annoying beep, it doesn’t signal when the eggs are done at all. My previous egg cooker beeped a few times to notify you before stopping.

This could be a great option for motels—if you can pick up fresh eggs during your travels (perhaps just six), and you or your companions plan to eat them soon or have access to a fridge or cooler. This product is impressive! What else could you ask for? The first time I used it, my hard-boiled eggs turned out perfectly. Later, I experimented with the egg poaching feature, utilizing the two included plastic poaching trays, and once again, the results were fantastic. I did notice that the poaching trays were slightly warped during hand washing, and I hope that doesn’t worsen with continued use. Currently, the slight warping doesn’t hinder their performance. The product also includes an omelette bowl made from the same material as the poaching trays, which I haven’t tried yet, but I suspect it may warp like the trays. However, the rest of the device and its components appear to be high quality.
The egg cooker comes with a measuring cup that features markings for soft, medium, and hard-boiled eggs, and it can boil up to six eggs at once. The measuring cup also includes markings for boiling fewer than six eggs. It has a needle at the bottom to pierce the large end of the egg, though this needle extends beyond the bottom, preventing the cup from standing upright on the counter during use.
In conclusion, I’m very satisfied with the Evoloop Egg Cooker. The eggs I’ve prepared so far have been excellent! The device is reasonably priced. If you’re looking to cut down on the time it takes to boil eggs, my experience shows that while the egg cooker doesn’t significantly reduce cooking time compared to a stovetop, it is much more convenient. My only concern is the warping of the plastic poaching tray and possibly the omelette bowl. It’s minimal now, but I wonder if it will worsen with each use. Additionally, I don’t like that the measuring cup can’t stand on its own. However, this is a minor issue and doesn’t affect my overall rating. A solid “thumbs up” for the Evoloop Egg Cooker!
