I no longer have to fret about water boiling away on the stove or burning my eggs. I follow the hardness guidelines and let them sit a bit longer after it’s done to suit my taste, and the results are fantastic. It takes up hardly any space. While it may seem a bit cheap in quality, it performs flawlessly, so I would definitely recommend it and would buy it again.

Update: I almost deducted a star. After a few weeks of use, the measuring marks on the little cup have nearly completely worn off. I tried marking them with a Sharpie, but those are fading too. I’ve just re-marked them again and added clear packaging tape to see if that helps protect the marks. To ensure I know the measurements if the markings disappear completely, Iāve checked by pouring into my measuring spoons: hard boiled = 5T + 1t; poached = 4T; soft boiled = 2T + 2t. I didnāt measure scrambled eggs since I donāt use it for that. Still love this gadget!
Note: Iām using more eggs now, and the fresher ones cook much better for hard boiling compared to the first batch, making them easier to peel.
Original review: Easy to use and clean, this gadget makes perfect poached eggs and prevents me from overcooking hard boiled eggs. I use large grade eggs and add a bit more water (about an extra 1/8 inch) for hard boiled. They aren’t as easy to peel as some claim, but they’re not difficult either. I purchased this because pre-cooked and peeled hard boiled eggs have become quite expensive. With this tool, I can cook them whenever I wantāit’s fast, easy, and eliminates trips to the store. I just keep a good supply of raw eggs, and weāre getting our protein for much less. Weāre definitely eating more eggs now.
I love poached eggs, but they used to be a hassle to make. This device has made it a breezeāIāve been enjoying them every morning! Thereās an omelet attachment, but itās quite small. I typically use 4-6 eggs for an omelet, plus meat, veggies, and cheese, so this would only be suitable for a tiny omelet or 2-3 scrambled eggs. Iām not sure how long it will last, but Iāll definitely replace it when it eventually wears out! Highly recommend.
