This product comes with a US plug, which is easily changeable, but it poses a significant risk as it’s not a universal 110-240V unit; it only operates at 120V. Most of Europe uses 230V. I installed a 3A fuse (which isn’t a common option in many countries) and tested it, but it cooked the poached eggs way too quickly, leaving them undercooked. It seems the heating element is too powerful, causing it to shut off prematurely. I might have to purchase a 230V to 110V transformer for ÂŁ24 since I paid ÂŁ47 for this, but until then, I won’t be using it unsupervised. This issue affects all of Europe, not just the UK. The seller really shouldn’t be offering this to European customers—it could be hazardous.

After lifting them, I noticed raw egg whites stuck to the bottom. I added two tablespoons of water and cooked them again. This time, one egg was cooked perfectly, while the other was slightly underdone but still edible—an interesting inconsistency.
Then, I tried making an omelet. I started with a two-egg omelet, sprayed the tray again, and repeated the process. When it was done, I discovered raw eggs at the bottom. After adding two more tablespoons of water and cooking it longer, it came out perfectly. I also made a more complex omelet with leftover cooked potatoes, tomatoes, and cheese, filling the measuring cup just below the hard-boiled egg line; it cooked wonderfully. A one-egg omelet also turned out fluffy and delicious when I filled the cup to the omelet line.
It seems that the type of eggs you use can influence the cooking results, so you might need to adjust the water and cooking time based on what you have. Overall, I highly recommend this egg cooker—it’s perfect for college students or anyone looking to save time, as it cooks eggs quickly and allows you to attend to other tasks instead of hovering over the stove.
Cleanup is a breeze. While there were some dark mineral spots on the base that looked like rust, they wiped away easily with a bit of white vinegar and a damp paper towel.
